What should I put in a welcome message?

Your opening message is your first impression to the customer so you want it to be good. 

Before writing your message you need to establish what your goal is with the welcome message and your bot.

Your goal could be something like:

• Help the user navigate around your site
• Help user with FAQ's
• Give a warm greeting and get sign ups
• Promote content like a new product or discount
• Get customer feedback

So once you have set out your goal then you can begin to write your message. 

Here are some of our tips for writing and effective message:

• Keep it relative to the conversation and goal
• Keep it short and punchy
• Use emojis!
