How to organize bots with sub accounts

Do you have a lot of bots on your Continually account and want to organize them? One of the uses of Subaccounts is to split bots between them and separate them from the main account. Keep reading to learn more about that. 

How is the sub-account different from the master account?

  • Subaccount has different Company settings from the master account.
  • The bots in a sub-account are separated totally from the master account.
  • The leads in a sub-account are separated as well from the master account.
  • The billing for the sub-account is managed by the master account.

Use cases for a sub-account

  • If you embed bots on multiple websites and want to separate their bots.
  • If you want to design and build bots for your clients.
  • If you have multiple branches in your company and you want to have separate accounts for them.
  • If you want to add a new company.
  • If you have a lot of bots and you want to split them according to their purpose.
  • If you want to have separate leads.

How to copy bots from master account to sub-account

This process is similar to duplicating your own and you want to start on Your bots page.

  1. Find the bot you want to duplicate to sub-account and hover over any section
  2. Notice that once you hover on your bot some icons will appear along the top of that bot
  3. Click on the duplicate option and then select duplicate on to sub-account

You can then go on your sub-accounts page and see the new bot has been duplicated to their account


How to copy bots from sub-account to sub-account

Note: You must sign in to a sub-account from your master account to get this option of duplicating

  1. Go to your sub-accounts page and click the name to sign into the sub-account
  2. Go to the bots page on the sub-account
  3. Notice that once you hover on your bot some icons will appear along the top of that bot
  4. Click on the duplicate option and then select duplicate on to another account
  5. Then select which sub-account to want to send it to and confirm.

You can then go on your other sub-accounts page and see the new bot has been duplicated to their account
