How to remove / add Google Meet link in appointment invitation

Google sends an automatic invitation when a new appointment is added to your Google Calendar. Google started generating automatic Meet links and added them to the meeting invitation they send to your guests. You can prevent Google from generating these links by going to your Calendar settings -> Calendar invites section and uncheck the option 'Generate Google Meet link'. 

That's it. Your invitation won't include the Google Meet link in the Joining info of the invitation.
