What if the button I want to link from already has a href attribute?

If the button already has a href, users will still see the Continually UI as long as the embed code is installed correctly.

When your embed code is present, our script will "catch" the click event and handle it by serving up the Continually UI.

If for any reason the script doesn't load, the page will redirect to the URL in your href attribute.
