Sendy: How to integrate Continually with Sendy

Want to synchronize your captured leads in Continually to your mailing list on your selfhosted Sendy.co app? Now you can connect Continually to any Sendy installation directly. You can send over all leads or leads from a certain bot to any list you have in Sendy, keep reading to find out how.

How to connect Continually to Sendy and set your first list

Go to the Apps page, find the Sendy app under the Email section, click on Connect. Enter the installation URL of your Sendy app and the API key that can be found on Sendy's Settings page.

Now go to your Sendy installation, click on the Brand that have your lists and enter the list name and ID, then choose if you want to sync all bots or a single bot. You can also check the Silent checkbox if  your list is 'Double opt-in' but you want to bypass that and signup the user to the list as 'Single Opt-in' instead.

How to sync leads to a second List

Go to your apps page, find the Sendy integration and click   View preferences

Click on add another list then enter the list name and ID like we did in the previous section.

Then choose what bots you want to sync from, and click Save.

How to sync more than 1 bot to a list

So you have added your list and see the option to sync all bots or specify a bot. But maybe you want more than one? Heres how to do it.

Go to your apps page, find the Sendy integration and click  View preferences

Click on add another list.

Add the list name and ID and choose to specify a bot.

Then save your changes.

You can repeat this step but select a different bot each time to sync more than one bot to your list.

Mapping your Continually fields to a Sendy list

You can set where each of your Continually fields map to on each of your Sendy list.

Go to your apps page, find the Sendy integration and click View preferences

Find the list that you want to change its mapping, and click on Map custom fields.

To map a Continually field to a Sendy field you need to enter the personalization tag for that field.  
For example: If your personalisation tag for the ‘Company Name’ field is ‘[CompanyName,fallback=]’, enter CompanyName or just copy the full tag and we will extract the necessary part from it.
You can find the personlisation tag for each field in the custom fields settings for each list.
Note: field tags are case sensitive
